admin
President Trump hinted he might ban ‘violent’ video games and ‘disgusting’ movies to try and prevent gun massacres. Speaking at a meeting with state lawmakers Thursday, Trump implied that youngsters were able to access both too easily while their minds were still ‘forming.’ Donald Trump says ‘active shooter drills’ terrify schoolchildren Speaking to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, Trump said: ‘I’m hearing more and more people seeing the level of violence in video games is really shaping young people’s thoughts ‘And then you go the further step, and that’s the movies. ‘You see these movies, and they’re so violent a kid is able to see the movie if sex isn’t involved, but killing is involved, and maybe we need to put a rating system for that. Trump pictured during Friday’s meeting (AP) ‘The fact is that you are having movies come out, that are so violent, the killing and everything else, and we may have to think about that.’ Trump aired his concerns hours after praising the NRA as ‘great people’ on Twitter. His gun control measures including restricting the sale of firearms to under 21s, and greater background checks on those who want to buy a gun. Trump suggested arming teachers at yesterday’s meeting, to take down school shooters before they can do any damage. He tweeted Friday morning blasting outlets for reporting that policy, only to confirm it in a subsequent message. Trump has been spurred into action after last week’s shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High school in Parkland, Fl. last week. Ex-student Nikolas Cruz, 19, killed 14 students and three school shooters with a legally obtained AR-15 rifle.
