Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center opened with limited services available on Thursday. In-patient beds, cardiac-cath labs, labor and delivery rooms, and other in-patient services are now offered in addition to the emergency room being open. Right after the storm, the hospital evacuated more than 130 patients due to major damages....and many are still being repaired CEO Brad Griffin said about 30 percent of his staff completely lost their homes, but many are happy to get back to work. "It's a big deal for the hospital [and] it's a big deal for Bay County and Panama City. Our staff is excited to come back to work, take care of patients, and do what we do best," Griffin said.
