BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - It's almost back to school for Bay District Schools students, but that doesn't mean things will be back to normal.

Some schools will share a campus for a full day, whereas others will attend school for half a day.

The following schools will reopen November 5th:
Callaway Elementary, which is sharing its campus with displaced Tyndall Elementary students

Deerpoint Elementary

Hutchison Beach Elementary

Lynn Haven Elementary

Lucille Moore Elementary

Mosley High School and Merritt Brown

New Horizons Learning Center

Northside Elementary

Oakland Terrace Elementary

Parker Elementary, which is sharing its campus with displaced Oscar Patterson students

Southport Elementary

Tommy Smith Elementary

Waller Elementary

Tyndall students will go to school with Callaway students on Callaway's campus, Oscar Patterson students will go to school with Parker students on Parker's campus, and Springfield students will go to school with Cedar Grove students on Cedar Grove's campus.

This will be a long-term arrangement as Tyndall, Oscar Patterson, and Springfield sustained extensive damage.

"Those campuses sustained some significant damage, so those students will be going all day, that's not a shared campus idea where it's a morning session and an afternoon session, so the Tyndall students will attend school all day with the Callaway students at the Callaway campus," Sharon Michalik, Director of Communications for Bay District Schools, said.

As for secondary schools sharing campuses, this will be on a split-day basis. High schoolers will go to school from 7 a.m. to noon and middle schoolers will go to school from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Starting Monday, November 5th, Mosley High School will have class in the morning and Merritt Brown Middle School will come to Mosley in the afternoon.

The following week, Bay High School will be at Jinks Middle School from 7 a.m. until noon. Jinks will be on its campus from 1 to 6 p.m.

Rutherford High School will have class in the morning and Everitt Middle School will go to Rutherford in the afternoon.

Arnold High School students will go to Surfside Middle School, as Arnold will serve as a Red Cross shelter.

"They're going to be working on temporary houses, people talk about FEMA trailers or some sort of temporary housing that can be set up for those people, so this isn't their end destination, this is their temporary destination," Michalik said.

C.C. Washington and Rosenwald will also share a campus at the same time, not a half-day session. This arrangement will begin the week of November 13th as well.

Bus routes have not been announced at this time.
