admin Posted October 25, 2018 Share Posted October 25, 2018 Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed Ryan Barrett, 22, of North Carolina has died from his injuries. Troopers say he and two other linemen were hit by a man they believe was under the influence Wednesday night. ------------------------------------ Two linemen are dead and the suspect is in custody after a hit-and-run in Washington County late Wednesday night. According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, three linemen were working to restore power after Hurricane Michael when they were hit by a car on Highway 77, near Talton Drive. Troopers say the driver, John Goedtke, 37, of Tampa, initially fled the scene but was spotted by a Chipley Police Officer. He was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail. He is charged with felony DUI manslaugther, felony vehicular homicide, and felony leaving the scene. FHP said additional charges are pending. The linemen who were killed are George Cesil, 52, of Cole Rain, North Carolina, and James Ussery, 60, of Chipley.
