Minus That One Critical Member HIGHLIGHTS: DAVE GROHL, KRIST NOVOSELIC, and PAT SMEAR had a six-song NIRVANA reunion at a festival in California Saturday night. Vocals were handled by JOAN JETT and JOHN MCCAULEY from the band DEER TICK. FULL STORY: There was a NIRVANA reunion at Cal Jam in San Bernardino Saturday night, after the FOO FIGHTERS'headlining set. Of course they were missing that one, kinda crucial member. DAVE GROHL, KRIST NOVOSELIC, and PAT SMEAR got vocal help from JOAN JETT on three songs and JOHN MCCAULEYfrom the band DEER TICK on the rest. They did "Breed", "Smells Like Teen Spirit", and "All Apologies" with Joan . . . And McCauley sang "Serve the Servants", "Scentless Apprentice", and "In Bloom".
