Search for missing teen from Jackson County

Deputies are asking for your help finding a missing teen from Jackson County.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, they received a report Saturday about Julia Weeks, 15, going missing from her home.

She was last seen by family at abut 1 a.m. Saturday. Deputies said she is believed to have left the home on her own.

An individual matching her description was seen in Marianna at about 6:40 a.m. with 35-40-year-old man with dark brown hair and a beard.

The two were then seen walking east on Lafayette Street.

They said Weeks has recently been in contact with an unknown man and may be traveling to Dothan or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and also has contacts with people in Panama City.

Weeks is 5'4 and approximately 140 pounds with medium build, dark brown hair and brown eyes. She has black roses tattooed on her right thigh and a beauty mark above her right upper lip.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Office or Chipola Crimestoppers at 850-526-5000.

A Jackson County teen is still missing despite previous reports from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

Officials say Julia Weeks, 15, is still missing and could be in the Panama City area.

A captain with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office says there was a misunderstanding. Another girl who is the same age and went missing around the same time has been found, not Weeks.

If you see Weeks, contact your local authorities.
