Pres. Trump: North Korea Parade Is ‘A Big And Very Positive Statement’

The president touts relations with North Korea, responding to the country’s 70th anniversary parade without the customary display of ballistic missiles.

In a tweet Sunday, President Trump suggested North Korea’s decision to cut the missiles shows their commitment to denuclearization.

North Korea has just staged their parade, celebrating 70th anniversary of founding, without the customary display of nuclear missiles. Theme was peace and economic development. “Experts believe that North Korea cut out the nuclear missiles to show President Trump......

He also said North Korean leader Kim Jong Un helped “prove everyone wrong through good dialogue between two people that like each other.”

...its commitment to denuclearize.” @FoxNews This is a big and very positive statement from North Korea. Thank you To Chairman Kim. We will both prove everyone wrong! There is nothing like good dialogue from two people that like each other! Much better than before I took office.

President Trump also praised his own leadership by saying communication with Kim is “much better than before” he took office.

This comes after North Korea’s parade highlighted economic development instead of its traditional show of military force.
