Have you ever had your mind changed on social media?

Do all of your rants on Facebook for the past few years sometimes feel totally FUTILE?  Like, everyone's already dug in so hard to their beliefs that there's no way you can change anyone's mind?

 

 

WRONG!  Keep on ranting, everybody.

 

 

According to a new survey by the Pew Research Center, 14% of Americans say they've changed one of their political or social views in the past year because of a post they saw on social media.  That's one in seven people.

 

 

Younger people are more likely to change, too:  23% of people under 30 have changed an opinion because of social media . . . versus about 13% of people between 30 and 65, and 6% of people over 65.
