admin
First lady Melania Trump said social media can be “destructive and harmful” to the lives of children during a Monday morning conference about cyberbullying, The Washington Post reports. “In today’s global society, social media is an inevitable part of our children’s daily lives,” the first lady said at the gathering in Rockville, Maryland. “It can be used in many positive ways but can also be destructive and harmful when used incorrectly.” She pushed for “the safe and responsible use of social media” while addressing a roomful of representatives from social-media companies, federal agencies, law enforcement, and youth groups. The message is part of her “Be Best” initiative, which the newspaper reports has been “slow to take shape,” as Trump has been out of the spotlight since having surgery on a benign kidney condition. This comes as her husband, President Donald Trump, called former CIA Director John Brennan the “worst CIA Director in our country’s history” and former administration official Omarosa Manigault-Newman a “dog” on Twitter.
