  5. Facebook is deleting the name of the potential whistleblower Facebook says it is deleting the name of the person who has been identified in conservative circles as the whistleblower who triggered a congressional impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump’s actions. The company said Friday that mention of the potential whistleblower’s name violates Facebook’s “coordinating harm policy,” which prohibits material that could identify a “witness, informant, or activist.” Facebook says it is removing mentions of the alleged whistleblower’s name and will revisit this decision if the name is widely published in the media or used by public figures in debate. The policy is not new. Facebook says it has been applying it to the whistleblower case and removing the person’s name for a few days. On Twitter, though, the alleged whistleblower’s name was circulating widely on Friday. The company does not have a policy against identifying whistleblowers by name and is not removing the posts. Some of the stories identifying the person came from the conservative news site Breitbart, which Facebook counts as one of its news partners in a newly launched news section on its app. However, the company said it was also removing identifying posts on the whistleblower from Breitbart. In a statement, Twitter said it prohibits the sharing of “personally identifiable information about any individual, including the alleged whistleblower.” But the company’s policy on such information does not consider a person’s name to be private information, a category that does include details such as a person’s address, contact information or medical records. This is not the first time Twitter and Facebook diverged on important policies. Last week, Twitter said it is banning all political ads from its service, in sharp contrast to Facebook , which continues to defend running paid political ads, even false ones, as a free speech priority. U.S. whistleblower laws exist to protect the identity and careers of people who bring forward accusations of wrongdoing by government officials. Lawmakers in both parties have historically backed those protections. The Associated Press typically does not reveal the identity of whistleblowers. So far, President Donald Trump has avoided identifying the whistleblower by name. Exposing whistleblowers can be dicey, even for a president. For one thing, doing so could be a violation of federal law. While there’s little chance Trump could face charges, revealing the name could give Democrats more impeachment fodder. It could also prompt a backlash among some Senate Republicans who have long defended whistleblowers. Amid all this, a false claim about the identity of the whistleblower has also been circulating online. Falsely captioned photos of former White House staffer David Edelman circulated widely on Twitter, Facebook and Reddit this week as social media users tried to unmask the whistleblower. They were possibly inspired by posts and stories shared by conservative outlets and the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., that claimed to reveal the person’s identity.
  6. If you're a Conservative, you are a constant target by tech conglomerates.
  7. Facebook and YouTube block spread of supposed whistleblower’s name and photo. Twitter allows both. Twitter found itself isolated this week as other major social media platforms moved to block users from spreading the name of a CIA officer who conservatives contend filed the extraordinary whistleblower complaint against President Trump that triggered House impeachment hearings. Facebook said it would block references to the alleged whistleblower’s name and photo under its policy against “coordinating harm.” YouTube said Friday it was doing the same. But Twitter said it would permit such references, including posts that name the person Trump supporters say is the whistleblower and photos claiming to depict him. This split came after repeated warnings by the whistleblower’s lawyers that publicizing a name puts that person and the person’s family at risk. The lawyers sent a sharply worded cease-and-desist letter to the White House on Thursday that called on President Trump to stop seeking the publication of the whistleblower’s name, a tactic they described as a “reckless and dangerous” form of intimidation. AD But a campaign among conservative publications, activists and social media users to surface the identity of the supposed whistleblower appeared only to grow on Friday, two days after the president’s son Donald Trump Jr. tweeted the name. Conservative commentator Candace Owens, for example, twice posted tweets that purported to name and show images of the whistleblower. Trump’s allies turned to online campaign in quest to unmask Ukraine whistleblower Although the first was later deleted, the second quickly reached a wide audience and was retweeted or “liked” more than 100,000 times. In response to a request for comment from The Washington Post, Owens called the whistleblower “a treasonous spy with deep ties to the Democrats.” Her language echoed that of the president, who has said that whoever passed information to the whistleblower was “close to a spy.” “You know what we used to do in the old days when we were smart with spies and treason, right?” Trump added. “We used to handle it a little differently than we do now.” AD The president’s incendiary language has added fuel to an online crusade to unmask and intimidate officials who have raised alarms about Trump’s dealings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Since the whistleblower filed his complaint Aug. 12, a clutch of named diplomats have come forward to corroborate concerns that Trump was pressing Ukraine to open investigations that would bolster unfounded conspiracy theories about the 2016 election and damage the presidential campaign of former vice president Joe Biden. Trump’s call for the whistleblower to be identified led to a campaign by Trump supporters to use the unregulated online ecosystem to circulate a name that remains unconfirmed by mainstream news organizations, many of which have policies to withhold information when a person may be at risk. Meanwhile, Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, said in an interview Friday with the Associated Press that the individual’s identity was not “particularly relevant.” AD The whistleblower’s identity no longer matters. Twitter defended its decision to allow the sharing of the CIA officer’s name, saying the tweets in question did not include the type of private details that go against the platform’s rules. “Per our private information policy, any tweets that include personally identifiable information about any individual, including the alleged whistleblower, would be in violation of the Twitter Rules,” said a Twitter spokeswoman, Katie Rosborough. That policy covers details such as home addresses, contact information and financial details. The platform permits “sharing information that is publicly available elsewhere, in a non-abusive manner.” That includes the name, birth date or employment of a person, as well as descriptions of a person’s physical appearance and “gossip, rumors, accusations, and allegations.” AD Although whistleblowers enjoy protections under federal law designed to encourage government employees to report wrongdoing without fear of retaliation, Heidi Kitrosser, a law professor at the University of Minnesota, said those protections would not prohibit private individuals from seeking to unmask a whistleblower. But, she added, there could be other possible legal recourse. “If a person’s life is in danger, then there could be criminal ramifications,” said Kitrosser, though she added that First Amendment considerations would be involved in any possible argument about incitement to violence. Most news organizations, including The Post, have withheld the name of the whistleblower, whose complaint about Trump’s call with his Ukrainian counterpart has been largely confirmed by diplomats and others with firsthand knowledge and by a reconstructed transcript released by the White House. The whistleblower’s name has been kept confidential by U.S. officials, in line with federal law designed to prevent retaliation. AD Facebook said Wednesday that it would block references to the supposed whistleblower’s name in response to Post queries about advertisements on the platform that sought to circulate it. Facebook spokesman Andy Stone said: “Any mention of the potential whistleblower’s name violates our coordinating harm policy, which prohibits content ‘outing of witness, informant, or activist.’ We are removing any and all mentions of the potential whistleblower’s name and will revisit this decision should their name be widely published in the media or used by public figures in debate.” News organizations resist Trump’s pressure to release whistleblower’s name Lawyers for the whistleblower did not respond to requests for comment Friday regarding the policy decision by Twitter. But on Wednesday — before Facebook said it would remove the ads — they said social media platforms have an ethical responsibility to protect “those who lawfully expose suspected government wrongdoing.” “This is particularly significant in this case where I have made it clear time and time again that reporting any suspected name for the whistleblower will place that individual and their family at risk of serious harm,” the attorney, Andrew P. Bakaj, said on Wednesday. “To that end, I am deeply troubled with Facebook seeking to profit from advertising that would place someone in harm’s way. This, frankly, is at the pinnacle of irresponsibility and is intentionally reckless.” This is not the first issue dividing the major technology companies. Twitter recently announced it would ban political ads, while Facebook allows them, including ones with false or misleading information, and exempts this form of political speech from the platform’s fact-checking process.
  8. Because of those two posts up there, Facebook said the reach of that page will be reduced for 14 days. WHO CARES???????????? 😴 I posted it on other pages as well, but those pages didn't get warnings.
  9. I care so little, it took me 30 minutes to get the energy to post this here - ON MY FORUM. Listen, CLICK BAIT is when you post something that is misleading trying to get people to click the link. THIS DOES NOT QUALIFY AS CLICK BAIT: This is the 3rd time in a month that I've been picked on by Facebook because it's making fun of a LIBERAL NEWS NETWORK. Facebook is filled with the same corny posts that are beyond predictable, ads all over the place, and now it's taking people's content off because they get their feelings hurt. Please know I LOATHE social media, and if it weren't for my job, I would not be on Facebook. I do not need it. I'm on it rarely anyway because I'm busy trying to have a life and making that money. The latter seems to be the only one working out though, but I'll take it.
  10. The Bay Area has many murals, with images of everyone from Robin Williams to Nipsey Hussle gracing its buildings. Now, there's a new name to add to that list: Greta Thunberg. A mural of the Swedish teenage climate activist, whose movement has caught the attention of the world, is set to be completed next Tuesday. Located in downtown San Francisco near Union Square (420 Mason St., for all you locals), the mural features Thunberg from the chest up — gazing straight into our souls, lips pursed. It's enough to make anyone stop and consider their environmental impact. And that's kind of the point, said Paul Scott, executive director of OneAtmosphere.org — the nonprofit that's funding the project. The organization wanted to focus on art celebrating climate activists, Scott told CNN. When brainstorming people to feature, Thunberg was the first person that came to mind. "If we can amplify her message and get more people involved and listening to what she's saying, then we're doing some good," he said. The overall feedback has been incredibly positive, he said. But the most critical reactions have been from those who haven't recognized her. "They're struck by the image and want to learn more," he said. "If they take the time to learn more about what she's trying to share, that I think has an impact on most people. Makes them want to help." Andrés Petreselli is the artist behind the mural. He also did the city's Robin Williams one, which is how Scott found his work. Petreselli is donating his time to the cause and told CNN he feels connected to everything Thunberg is doing. She sets examples for the whole world, he said. "We're pretty much at the beginning of our extinction, so if we don't do anything right now, it's going to be too late," he said. It's not the first mural to the young activist Thunberg and her message have inspired murals around the world. One in Bristol, England, featuring the activist partly underwater went up earlier this year, along with another one in Canada. Not everyone has been eager to hear her message. The mural in Canada, painted on a "free wall" along a bike path, was defaced twice shortly after it was first created, according to CNN affiliate CBC. The adversity hasn't stopped Thunberg, though. She is best known for her climate strikes, which she began in 2018 outside the Swedish Parliament. Her protest inspired thousands of students around the world to walk out of class and demand action on the climate crisis. She hasn't slowed down. She's spoken to everyone from the United Nations to the US Congress -- and even former President Barack Obama -- about the climate crisis. "As it is now, people in general don't seem to be very aware of the actual science and how serious this crisis is," she said in September during a congressional hearing. "I think we need to inform them and start treating the crisis like the existential threat it is."
  11. Federal immigration officials slammed Montgomery County, Md. officials for releasing an alleged child molester after Immigration and Customs Enforcement lodged a detainer with the county earlier this week. Luis Fredy Hernandez-Morales, 48, a Guatemalan national who lives in Springfield, Va., is accused of inappropriately touching a young girl he is related to. Police said he molested the girl while he was staying at her home in Montgomery County in July. Hernandez-Morales is active in the youth ministry at a local church and police believe there may be other victims. Luis Fredy Hernandez-Morales Immigration and Customs Enforcement said it lodged the detainer on Tuesday, which would have instructed local law enforcement to hold a potentially deportable suspect for up to two business days beyond the time they would have otherwise been released. ICE told Fox 5 that county officials did not honor the detainer and Hernandez-Morales was released on bond the next day, according to Fox 5 DC. The station reported that agents took Hernandez-Morales into custody in northern Virginia Friday. "The best way to serve public safety is to work together," Acting ICE Baltimore Field Officer Director Frank Madrigal said in a statement. "Montgomery County had indicated they would securely transfer dangerous criminals to our custody rather than release them to the community where they can reoffend. These actions indicate they intend otherwise." Earlier this year Democrat Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich banned ICE from accessing secure portions of the county jail. Earlier this month he quietly rolled back portions of the ban, allowing ICE into “identified areas” to detain soon-to-be released inmates so long as ICE officers arrive before their release. Elrich told Fox 5 DC the county released Hernandez-Morales because it does not have a detainer policy. "When individuals are finished processing for release, we follow the decision of the Attorney General that we can't hold an individual, for any reason, once they have been cleared for release," the spokesman, Barry Hudson, said in a statement. "That is what happened in this case."
  12. A viral video of a Popeyes employee body-slamming a woman outside a Tennessee restaurant has resulted in an arrest on Friday. Deriance Ra’Shaiel Hughes, 29, was charged with felony aggravated assault for the incident that stemmed from an altercation between the woman and employees inside the fast-food location. A lawyer representing the victim, Debra Staggs, 55, said she was trying to get a refund after reportedly being double-charged for food, reports local TV station WSMV. Things quickly escalated, however, as Staggs and Hughes got into an argument at the cashier counter. In a video posted on Twitter, Hughes is seen slamming Staggs to the ground outside. 1,554 people are talking about this There are conflicting accounts about what transpired before the violent attack. In another video that captured the argument inside the restaurant, employees accused Staggs of using the N-word and asked her repeatedly to leave. Deriance Ra’Shaiel Hughes, 29, was charged with felony aggravated assault, authorities say. (Columbia, Tenn., Police Department) Staggs’ lawyers said their client denies using the racial slur and that the store’s manager “immediately began insulting her” when she returned to request a refund after checking her bank statement. 592 people are talking about this Staggs was “confused and frightened” during the altercation, her lawyer said, and tried to leave the building before she was attacked. She reportedly suffered six cracked ribs, nine fractures and a broken knee. Popeyes Lousiana Kitchen sing or logo outside a restaurant wall. (Photo by Roberto Machado Noa/LightRocket via Getty Images) Jeff Janssen, a Popeyes employee, told WSMV that Hughes was fired after the incident. “It was uncalled for. Wasn’t no reason for that,” he said. A Popeyes spokesperson said in a statement to a Fox affiliate that the company was “shocked” over the attack. “These actions run completely contrary to our standards and the integrity of our brand. Following an investigation, the franchisee took immediate action and we were informed that the employee has since been terminated,” the spokesperson said. “The entire circumstance is highly unfortunate for all involved, and we hope to never see this type of behavior again." The altercation in Tennessee comes after a string of violent incidents at other Popeyes restaurants around the country, some of which have been tied to the fast-food restaurant's popular chicken sandwich. Trays were sent flying at a Popeyes restaurant in San Antonio on Tuesday during a fight between a customer and an employee. The two unidentified women were seen throwing food trays at each other in a dispute caught on video and posted on Twitter. In a separate altercation caught on camera in Maryland, a Popeyes employee and male customer were seen brawling behind the counter as customers and other employees look on. Investigators confirmed that the incident was sparked by a confrontation between a customer and an employee after the customer demanded a refund. In another incident on Sunday, a man was stabbed to death outside a different Maryland Popeyes. The stabbing occurred after two customers reportedly got into an altercation over one of the men cutting a line reserved for the restaurant’s popular chicken sandwich.
  13. Progressive darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) appeared at a rally for 2020 presidential candidate Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in Council Bluffs, Iowa on Friday. In typical AOC fashion, the Congresswoman used her Instagram story to show a "behind-the-scenes" look at what it's like before she went on stage with Sanders. It's the typical appeal she makes to her 20-something fan base. 7,400 people are talking about this But apparently Ocasio-Cortez is so ready "to rally" that the cat caught her tongue...literally. "So here’s the deal. I, you know, and what it also — and so the deal is — sorry. And here’s the deal. The deal — I’m like, I got so much going on in my mind because I’m just talking to you all this evening," she said, clearly struggling for words. "I was, like, trying to prepare some remarks on the plans, I was like, I’m just going to talk to them, okay," she said, clearly referencing Sanders' various controversial plans, like his newly-released immigration plan. "And so here’s the deal: is that we have to stitch ourselves together," AOC explained. "We have to connect ourselves to one another. I came here today from the Bronx and the thing is is that our destinies are tied and there’s so many folks that want to say what do Iowans believe, what do New Yorkers believe, what do — “ What makes this ordeal so sad is that young people look up to her. She's their voice of reason. They feel as though she's standing up to the big bad guys in Washington, D.C. Even though Ocasio-Cortez is a freshman Congresswoman, she has had a profound impact on American politics in a short period of time. She's responsible for bringing the Green New Deal to the forefront of the political conversation. She's continually pushed for other controversial plans, like abolishing ICE and implementing Medicare for All. If AOC is such a die-hard activist turned politician, why is "so much going through her head" that she can't explain what she believes? Why is it so hard for her to explain Bernie's policies, you know, the ones she's endorsed? Is it because she hasn't read them or because she knows they're so outlandish that she can't even defend them? Either way, this moment is a definite snippet into the people who are leading the Democratic Party. Scary, isn't it?
  14. Amazon has removed a controversial kids' T-shirt from its website after being accused of promoting pedophilia. The shirt, emblazoned with “Daddy’s Little Slut," was being sold by third-party retailer Onlybabycare, which offers other children’s apparel on Amazon. The vulgar shirt had been on the retail giant’s website since June 2019 and was recently on sale for half its original price, according to The Independent. Las Vegas - Circa July 2017: Amazon.com Fulfillment Center. Amazon is the Largest Internet-Based Retailer in the United States. The product description for the T-shirt claimed it was “suitable” for various occasions, such as “playing outside, birthday party, baby shower, baptism, wedding, baby photography, daily wear, family day.” It was also listed as unisex and suitable for “little girls or boys.” The product sparked outrage, with Twitter users demanding that Amazon pull the item. Journalist Yashar Ali posted a screenshot of the T-shirt, which quickly went viral. “Available for sale on @amazon: “Daddy’s Little Slut” t-shirt...for children,” he tweeted Friday. “Posting here in hopes it’ll expedite removal from Amazon.” 1,919 people are talking about this See Kathy Copeland's other Tweets See Goon Grief's other Tweets “If I ever saw a child wearing this t-shirt, I'd call the police,” tweeted one person. “I hope each package comes with the phone number for Child Protective Services,” another added. An Amazon representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News. A spokesperson, however, confirmed to The Independent that the shirt in question had been removed. “All sellers must follow our selling guidelines and those who do not will be subject to action including potential removal of their account,” the spokesperson said. “The product in question is no longer available.”
  15. Illegal immigrants facing charges for murder, child sex offenses, rape, drug trafficking and robbery could be released onto the streets across North Carolina due to "sanctuary" policies that shield undocumented criminals from deportation, federal authorities are warning. The notice comes from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which is stepping up its public campaign against sanctuary policies, under which cities and counties refuse to cooperate with ICE detainers. Those detainers are requests for local jurisdictions to notify ICE to an illegal immigrant's release, and then hold onto them until authorities can take them into custody and deport them. "[W]hen local jurisdictions refuse to cooperate with federal law enforcement, they not only betray their duty to protect public safety, but force ICE to be more visible in those areas," the agency said in a statement, asking the jurisdictions to "transfer these individuals to federal custody instead of releasing them to the community where they may reoffend." ICE has released images of those facing charges and who could eventually be released into North Carolina communities due to sanctuary policies. (ICE.gov) ICE last year deported more than 145,000 criminal illegal immigrants, and the agency says that about 70 percent of arrests it conducts occur via a detainer from a local or state jail or prison. But amid calls for ICE to be abolished entirely -- even among lawmakers and 2020 presidential hopefuls -- some cities have pushed anew for sanctuary policies. Activists claim that sanctuary policies protect the human rights of immigrants and encourage immigrant communities to report crimes and cooperate with police. The consequences, ICE counters, can be dire. The agency is now drawing attention not only to those released already, but those who eventually could be released if sanctuary cities don't comply with ICE detainers. The latest list includes those who could eventually be roaming the streets in places like Wake County and Mecklenburg County, N.C. Not everyone on the roster has served their sentence or even been convicted at this stage -- meaning some may not be released for years or, in the most serious cases, ever. But ICE officials stress that sanctuary policies mean that whenever they do finish their sentence, those with convictions are likely to be released under sanctuary policies without ICE getting so much as a phone call. In blaring bold-faced letters above each defendant's mugshot, is a warning from ICE: "MAY BE RELEASED INTO YOUR COMMUNITY." The list of names, along with the charges they face, includes: Efren Ernesto Caballero -- Murder Adrian Alvarez Portugez -- Murder Jose Brayan Guzman -- Murder Kirk Walter Nunez-Serraios -- 1st degree rape of a child; indecent liberties with a child Miguel Angel Tapia Martinez -- Indecent liberties with a child; attempted 2nd-degree forcible rape; 2nd-degree forcible rape Alan Miguel Ruiz -- Attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon; breaking and entering; larceny; possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia Angel Vagas Ventura -- Drug trafficking; resisting arrest; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of methamphetamine Adrian Alvarez Portugez -- Indecent liberties with a child; sexual battery; statutory sex offense by an adult Among those who already have arrests and convictions for serious crimes include: Alejandro Gomez Cervantes -- Five counts of indecent liberties with a child; three counts of statutory sex offense with a child by adult; statutory rape of a child by adult. Francisco Javier Diaz Rodriguez -- three counts of indecent liberties with a child; two counts of sexual act by sub/parent custodian; two counts of statutory sex offense with a child by adult. Acting ICE Director Matthew Albence, who has been outspoken in highlighting the dangers of sanctuary cities, said in a statement that lawmakers should put public safety above political agendas. He also repeated warnings from law enforcement that, if jails did not cooperate with ICE, it means they have to go into cities and towns to track down those who have been released. “Uncooperative jurisdictions such as Wake County should be on notice that as long as criminal offenders are being released, they should get used to seeing a lot more ICE at-large enforcement activity in their communities,” he said. Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., has introduced legislation to clarify DHS's detainer authority "so sheriffs can no longer make up excuses" when they refuse to honor requests. “We cannot and will not stand by and let these criminals walk our streets and put our communities in danger," he said in a statement. An ICE spokesman told Fox News on Wednesday that the agency was planning on highlighting similar cases in other sanctuary jurisdictions across the country. The warning comes as the agency has held a number of briefings designed to highlight the danger of sanctuary policies. In one of those briefings, Albence stood alongside sheriffs including Texas Sheriff Bill Waybourn, who said that illegal immigrants were being held in his Tarrant County's jails for crimes including murder, sexual assault and driving while intoxicated. "So if we have to turn them loose or they get released, they're coming back to your neighborhood and my neighborhood,” he said. “These drunks will run over your children and they will run over my children.” The increasingly aggressive push by ICE is echoed by the White House. President Trump has attempted to defund sanctuary cities by executive order -- a move that was blocked by a federal judge -- and has threatened to send illegal immigrants straight to sanctuary cities. "They're not too happy about it," he told supporters in Wisconsin in April. "That was my sick idea, I have to tell you." Meanwhile, within the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Acting Director Ken Cuccinelli has been calling out Montgomery County, Md. Executive Mark Elrich for introducing sanctuary policies in July -- after which there was a spate of sex crimes allegedly committed by illegal immigrants. After Elrich lumped critics such as Cuccinelli in with “neo-Nazi sympathizers,” Cuccinelli challenged him to a televised debate. “I’ll defend children and crime victims, Elrich can defend rapists and murders who shouldn’t even be in this country. What do you say, Mr. Chairman?” Cuccinelli tweeted But this week, Elrich reportedly rolled back parts of the executive order and correctional officers have been ordered to give ICE agents clearance to "identified areas" of the jail to "ensure that transfers are conducted in a safe environment." 108 people are talking about this “I guess 9 sexual assaults in 9 weeks - many preventable - was enough,” Cuccinelli said in response to the news. There have also been other signs that public discontent with sanctuary cities is growing. In the city of Tucson, Arizona, voters on Tuesday overwhelmingly rejected a measure to make the city an official sanctuary city and impose even more measures on officers trying to enforce federal immigration law.

  17. Donald Trump Jr. went into enemy territory on Thursday prepared for a fight, and a fight he got. Minutes into his appearance on the left-leaning daytime chatfest "The View," co-host Joy Behar rattled off a laundry list of President Trump's mishaps and controversial moments when Trump Jr. reminded the panel that "we've all done things that we regret." The president's oldest son, who was joined on the show by his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, went on the offensive, accusing "Joy Behar of once using "blackface," and calling out Whoopi Goldberg's past comments diminishing the seriousness of director Roman Polanski's sexual assault of a minor. Then, when the show went to commercial, Trump Jr. took to Twitter to continue the barrage. “We've all done things that we regret. Joy, you have worn blackface," Trump Jr. said at one point during the contentious segment. "Whoopi, you said that Roman Polanski… it wasn’t 'rape-rape,' when he raped a child." ‘THE VIEW’ SILENT ON JOY BEHAR'S RESURFACED BLACKFACE PHOTO WEARING ‘BEAUTIFUL AFRICAN WOMAN’ COSTUME 3,335 people are talking about this Goldberg snapped back: “Now that you’ve broken this piece of ice, because I guess it is the fight you wanted…are you questioning my character?” “I’m not questioning your character. I’m talking about, you’re questioning my father’s character and I say we all have done and said things,” Trump Jr. said before being interrupted by Goldberg. Behar, an outspoken critic of President Trump, denied wearing blackface. However, Trump Jr. tweeted a 2016 clip showing Behar admitting she wore the offending getup along with a picture of her in the costume. Earlier this year, footage of Behar dressed up as a “beautiful African woman” was resurfaced by TheWrap amid a series of blackface scandals making national headlines. 5,582 people are talking about this Trump Jr. did the same for Goldberg, tweeting a link to an article featuring her cringe-worthy quotes about Polanski. 3,771 people are talking about this ABC News did not immediately respond to a series of questions, including whether or not Trump Jr. will be invited back on “The View.” At one point Behar even disciplined the in-studio crowd for applauding Trump Jr. “Listen, this is not a MAGA rally, OK,” Behar said. 3,680 people are talking about this Earlier in the heated interview, Trump Jr. called out ABC News for its role in tracking down the former employee who allegedly leaked a hot mic video that revealed the network killed a damning Jeffrey Epstein story. The panel began the segment by criticizing Trump Jr. for releasing what he believed to be the name of the anonymous whistleblower whose complaint sparked an impeachment inquiry against his father, President Trump. But the president’s son doesn’t think all whistleblowers are treated equally by the mainstream media.“The View” is part of ABC News, and Trump Jr. bashed the network on which he was appearing. "ABC is right now chasing down a whistleblower about all of the Epstein stuff because those stories were killed. So, if we're going to have the conversation about the outrage about whistleblowers, you work with CBS to out a whistleblower," Trump Jr. said. 2,399 people are talking about this Trump Jr. was referring to a report from HuffPost’s Yashar Ali that indicated ABC News honchos “believe they know the identity” of a former employee with access to the viral footage of Amy Robach venting about the network refusing to air her Epstein reporting. “Two sources with knowledge of the situation tell me that ABC News executives know who the former employee is but don’t know if that person leaked the footage to Project Veritas, the right-wing activist group, or if they shared it with others who leaked the footage,” Ali wrote. “What ABC News executives do know is that the former employee is now working at CBS News.” Ali added that ABC executives informed CBS that the potential leaker was now working at "The Tiffany Network." Less than 24 hours after Ali’s initial story, he followed up with a report that CBS terminated the employee in question. The New York Post has also reported that CBS fired the employee. “A TV source said the woman was let go on Wednesday, after ABC execs alerted CBS,” Page Six reporter Sara Nathan wrote. CBS did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Goldberg began the interview by referring to Trump Jr. as “the son of the gentleman in the White House, DJT,” declining to name President Trump or Donald Trump Jr. by name. The move was criticized as “pathetic” by GOP staffer Steve Guest, but it didn’t seem to bother Trump Jr. Following the show, Trump Jr. took to Twitter again. “I don't think I've enjoyed an interview this much in my life,” he wrote. “Guess you could say that I just #Triggered The View!!!”
