The less lies one tells, the easier it is to communicate. The more truthful we are, the less we have to remember when it comes to what we said to whom. If all we say is the truth, then there is no need to remember the stories, only the memory surrounding the conversation at hand. I used to lie all the time, and it was usually because I was covering for my drug and alcohol use. I must say that ever since I stopped all that years ago, my communication skills have improved greatly and no longer have issues being truthful.
